Wes began skiing at the age of 2 when his family moved to Park City, UT. He liked downhill skiing but didn't try Nordic until he was 10. He loved it and started cross country skiing with the Park City Ski Club. When he was 13, he started biathlon with Soldier Hollow.

When Wes is not skiing, he loves running, hiking, swimming, paddle boarding, traveling, and solving Rubik's cubes. He also has 4 cats, 2 goats, 2 sheep, 2 peahens, a rabbit, and 12 chickens.
