Membership Levels#
This membership is for athletes 22 years old and up that currently access US Biathlon Club ranges for practice and/or participate in USBA sanctioned events in winter or summer
Competitor members receive insurance coverage when participating in US Biathlon training or competitions, regular email updates through our monthly newsletter, SafeSport training and background checks for those interacting with athletes under 18 years of age, discounted prices for Officials Training Clinics, and access to outdoor retail discounts through our partnership with ExpertVoice.

This membership is for athletes 17-21 years old on December 31 currently access US Biathlon Club ranges for practice and/or participate in US Biathlon sanctioned events in winter or summer. Competitor members receive insurance coverage when participating in US Biathlon training or competitions, regular email updates through our monthly newsletter, SafeSport training and background checks for those interacting with athletes under 18 years of age, discounted prices for Officials Training Clinics, and access to outdoor retail discounts through our partnership with ExpertVoice.

U17 competitor members receive insurance coverage when participating in US Biathlon training or competitions, regular email updates through our monthly newsletter, access to SafeSport training if desired/approved by parents/guardians, and access to outdoor retail discounts through our partnership with ExpertVoice.
Note: U17 members cannot compete in the youth category. You must purchase Youth/Junior membership type for competition in IBU categories (Youth) at YJWCH Trials or Nationals.

This membership is for participants who are coaches or trainers of biathletes in the United States. Coach members may also compete. You should select "also official" if occasionally officiates in addition to coaching duties.

This membership for officials or technical delegates working competitions in the US or internationally as a US Biathlon representative. Official members may also compete. You should select "also coach" if occasionally coaching in addition to officials duties.
Official members receive insurance coverage when working in US Biathlon training or competitions, access to online coaching resources, regular email updates through our monthly newsletter, SafeSport training and background checks (mandatory for those in this category), discounted prices for Officials Training Clinics, and access to outdoor retail discounts through our partnership with ExpertVoice.

This membership is for all US Biathlon affiliate clubs and organizations (sometimes referred to as Local Affiliated Organizations, or LAOs). Membership allows clubs to be covered under US Biathlon insurance as well as have access to club resources like special pricing on US Biathlon branded items and the ability to host US Biathlon sanctioned events including camps and competitions. All clubs will be asked to complete a check-list for basic certification and have the opportunity to apply for three podium-level certifications based on facilities, membership and programs offered.

You may only purchase 2 one-day memberships per year. This membership is not meant for people who regularly train and/or compete in biathlon activities.
This membership is for those who wish to compete in a try-it competition or clinic for only one day. This membership is not appropriate for those who compete or are involved with US Biathlon on a relatively regular basis, and may only be purchased for a maximum of two days per year. If you anticipate participating in a US Biathlon sanctioned event more than twice per year, you should purchase the appropriate competitor membership. Day membership is NOT appropriate for coaches or officials as it does not include SafeSport or background checks. Member for a day includes insurance for the event and date that the membership was purchased on and is not valid after that date/event. **ATTENTION** Please email info@usbiathlon.org
