More on Maddie:
As a winter athlete, Maddie believes in advocating for environmental sustainability, which is why she joined Protect Our Winters (POW) Athlete Alliance in 2016. POW helps passionate outdoor people protect the places and lifestyles they love from climate change. POW is a community of athletes, scientists, creatives, and business leaders advancing non-partisan policies that protect our world today and for future generations. Maddie has met with hundreds of students, written several newspaper op-eds, and travels to Washington, DC to speak to lawmakers asking for their support for strong climate policies.
