Campbell Wright, born in Wanaka, New Zealand, is a dual citizen of both New Zealand and the United States, where both of his parents were born. He began biathlon in 2016 at the age of 14. Growing up skiing at the Snowfarm, building his biathlon base under the silver fern, he is proud to have achieved notable success representing New Zealand. Campbell topped the juniors with a gold medal finish in the sprint at the 2023 Junior World Championships in Schuchinsk, Kazakhstan. He has made a name for himself amongst the senior biathletes as well, as his top-15 finish at the 2022 Antholz (ITA) World Cup punched him a ticket to the 2022 Beijing Olympics as a 19-year-old.
