Vaclav "Vasek" Cervenka is the son of Vladimir Cervenka and Petra Cervenkova, and has two siblings, Honza and Matej. Has dual citizenship for the United States and the Czech Republic, and began biathlon in 2012 when he was 13. His mother, Petra, represented the Czech National Team at the 1992 Olympic Winter Games. Vasek's idol is French biathlete, Martin Fourcade and his favorite venue to compete at is Nove Mesto na Morave (CZE).
Outside of biathlon, Vasek enjoys playing golf and always loves to sneak in nine holes between biathlon practices!
