Midway, UT – The U.S. Biathlon Board of Directors announced the election of three athlete representatives, to be seated on the Board beginning January 1, 2025. Kelsey Dickinson and Chloe Levins will fill the USOPC Athletes Commission Representative and Alternate positions respectively, taking over from outgoing representatives Kelly Kjorlien and Jake Brown. As Dickinson currently holds the position of Athlete Representative on the Board, Russell Currier will fill her vacated position for a two year term. Both Dickinson and Levins will also have voting U.S. Biathlon Board of Directors seats.

Chloe Levins has over a decade of international racing experience, including nine World Championship events on the senior, junior and youth levels, and nearly 40 World Cup races. She is an Athlete Ambassador for Integrity Matters with the International Biathlon Union and is passionate about advocating for athletes' rights and improving communication between the USOPC and the athlete community. Her background in Neuroscience strengthens her commitment to ethical practices, as has given her a deeper understanding of how mental health, decision-making, and the neurological impact of stress affect athlete well-being and performance.

"I’m honored to be trusted with the voices of my fellow athletes,” said Levins. “Ensuring athletes’ voices are heard and that transparency is upheld is a responsibility I embrace with gratitude and passion. I also want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the previous athlete representatives, Kelly and Jake, for their dedication and the foundation they’ve built, which has paved the way for significant progress and increased athlete engagement.”

Kelsey Dickinson has held the role of Athlete Representative on U.S. Biathlon’s Board of Directors for the last three years. She currently lives in Craftsbury, Vermont where she competes for both the Craftsbury Green Racing Project Biathlon Team and U.S. Biathlon. Dickinson also works as the Executive Director of the Women Ski Coaches Association, a non-profit that her former college coach Maria Stuber started in 2019. She serves as a Gender Equity Athlete Ambassador for the International Biathlon Union, which has published aggressive gender equity goals over the coming years. Kelsey also currently serves as an athlete ambassador on the USOPC Women's Health Task Force and TUSA NFT Athlete Advisory Group.

Russell Currier is a retired biathlete and current part-time coach with more than a decade of experience. He started biathlon in 2001 and retired in 2018. During that time, he was named to two Olympic teams, represented the U.S. at several World Championships, and even scored a handful of World Cup points. Since retirement, he’s started part-time coaching, and has been inspired by the motivation and potential of the current generation of athletes. In his role of Athlete Representative, he aims to give back to the team and to help support this new wave of talent.

"Any effect my role in US Biathlon has in the coming years depends on the athletes,” said Currier. “I am only here to facilitate a better outcome on the athletes behalf. Please don't hesitate to reach out and give me a chance to help."
